Private gallery terms

A private gallery is a creator's own collection of designs that only the people they invite can open. These are the terms for both sides of it.

Version 2026-10-07. They apply on top of the terms of use and the privacy policy, which cover everything not said here.

The short version. A creator decides who gets in, and if they charge for that, they are the one selling it. LCD Wizard hosts the gallery and keeps the member list; it takes no payment for access, does not know who has paid, and is not part of that sale. A member can open a copy of each design for their own use. Access can be ended by the creator at any time; copies already taken stay with whoever took them.

1. What the words mean

2. If you are a creator

You are the seller

You choose who gets an invite link and on what terms. If you charge for access, whether through a membership, a shop, a course or anything else, that sale is between you and your buyer. You are responsible for the price, the description of what they get, refunds, cancellations, consumer rights and tax, in every place you sell.

Tell buyers plainly what they are getting: access to a gallery hosted by LCD Wizard, which lasts while you keep them on your list and while the gallery exists. Do not say or suggest that LCD Wizard sells, endorses or guarantees your gallery.

What you may put in it

Only designs you have the right to share. That includes everything inside them: an imported font or a picture carries its own licence, and it has to allow what you are doing with it. The terms of use apply to a private gallery as they do to anything else on the service, including what may not be put on it.

A design is added as a copy of your saved project. An API key or other secret typed into a widget is taken out of that copy and stays with you.

Your public page

You can switch on a page that anybody can open. It shows your gallery's name and description, your name and picture, where to get access, and for each design its title, the start of its description and what it runs on, with a picture of its first screen unless you switch pictures off. It never gives anybody a design. Whatever you put on it is public, so put nothing there you would not publish. A design you have hidden from members is left off it.

What you give your members

By adding a design you allow each member to open a copy of it, change that copy, generate code from it and use the result on their own devices. Unless you say otherwise in the design's description, that is for their own use only: not to pass on, resell or republish. You may give more than that; you may not give less than the ability to build and use a copy they have taken.

A member keeps the copies they took, and may go on using them, after their access ends.

What this does and does not protect

To generate code from a design a member has to be given the whole design, so somebody determined can pass a copy on. LCD Wizard marks every copy with the gallery it came from and refuses to let it be published to the public gallery by anybody but you. That discourages casual republishing. It is not copy protection, and we do not promise that it is.

Your member list

You are shown each member's display name, the day they joined and the invite link they used. You are not shown their email address. Use what you are shown only to manage access to your gallery. To know which member is which buyer, make an invite link for each buyer and label it.

You can remove a member at any time, and put them back. Removing somebody does not take away copies they already have.

If it ends

If your account stops being a creator account, your gallery closes to its members and your invite links stop working; nothing is deleted, and it opens again as it was if the account is made a creator again. If you delete your account, the gallery, its invite links and its member list are deleted with it. In both cases members keep the copies they already took. What you owe your buyers when access ends is between you and them.

We may hide a design, or close a gallery, that breaks these terms, the terms of use or the law, and will tell you when we do unless the law stops us.

3. If you are a member

Who gives you access

The creator does. LCD Wizard does not sell access to a private gallery, is not a party to any purchase you made to get in, and cannot give a refund for one. If something you paid for is not what you were promised, that is for the creator to put right.

The creator can end your access at any time. You can leave whenever you like, from the gallery itself.

What you may do with a copy

Change it, generate code from it and use that on your own devices. Unless the creator's description says otherwise, it is for your own use: do not pass the design on, sell it or republish it. A copy cannot be published to the public gallery. Copies you have already taken are yours to keep using after your access ends.

Generating code from a copy uses your own account's allowance, credits or plan, exactly as it does for any other project.

What the creator sees about you

Your display name, the day you joined and which invite link you used. Not your email address. The creator also sees totals for each design: how often it was looked at, how many copies were taken and how many of those went on to generate code. Those totals do not say who.

4. What LCD Wizard does

We host the gallery, keep the member list and count what is opened. Staff can open a private gallery when that is needed to look into a report, a fault or a legal request, and for no other reason.

If you believe something in a private gallery infringes your rights, write to admin@lcdwizard.online and we will look at it.

The hardware point in the terms of use applies here as everywhere: a design is a starting point, and whoever builds it is responsible for checking it against their own board.

5. Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, creators and members are told before the change takes effect. The version date at the top says which version this is.
